First Time Blogger

Over the past few years social networking has become very popular. I jumped on the bandwagon myself to see what's all the buzz I've been hearing. I created a Myspace page about 4 years ago. It was a simple way to connect with old friends and stay connected with friends and family. I then opened a Facebook account. I used them both simultaneously for awhile. Well until Myspace became tired and boring. I later deleted the Myspace account and used Facebook solely. The great thing about Facebook is that it allowed me to connect with even more friends and family. I connected with people I haven't seen since Junior High. Facebook is wonderful or maybe not for an outspoken person like me. Over the years it attracted an older crowd including: aunts, uncles, former teachers, students, etc. With the increase of friends I found myself toning my post down to the point of them being watered down. I needed a new outlet, a place where I could be myself, speak freely, and not worry about getting interrogating my an elderly family memories about my opinions. So I created a Twitter account and entered the Twitterverse. I absolutely love Twitter anything goes. My only issue is the 140 character limitation is not enough for me to express my thoughts, issues, concerns and opinions freely. So here I am in the blogworld. Welcome to my blog.....enjoy!!!!

  1. Same here! Although, I haven't deleted any of my old accounts, as a way of periodically keeping tabs on my nieces and nephews; I found that I was needing a place to vent socially i.e twitterverse. I am a true Twitter Junkie. SMH.
